Kat and Elliott first met each other while students volunteering at a conference at Calvin University. It was from that point that their friend groups brought them closer together. They love spending their time together cooking, enjoying the outdoors and sitting in parks reading books. They got engaged at Hoffmaster State Park by Lake Michigan just as the sun was setting.
For their engagement session, we went to Grand Ravines North County Park in Jenison, MI. It’s always been a favorite of ours, no matter the time of year, there are always exciting places to photograph. This early spring, April day didn’t disappoint. The sun was shining and the laughter was rolling. Despite the brownness and not yet awake nature of the woods surrounding them, their vibrant personalities really lit up the scene. Some of our favorite spots were by the stone wall along the path down to the Grand River, the park bench with a moment for reading their books, and even a pedestrian suspension bridge.
