Beth, a Grand Valley State University grad, shared our final location of the “secret” location of the beautiful Arboretum on their Allendale campus. It was a tranquil summer afternoon, early summer flowers were blooming everywhere and golden hour just added to the tone of this shoot.
We started at the Grand Ravines Park in Jenison, MI. Right around the corner from GVSU. This park is a favorite of ours to photograph engagement sessions as it provides a nice variety of park settings. From the covered bridge along the Grand River, to the woods and open fields above. All the natural beauty allows for a great background to capture the love of our couples.
As with many of our couples the groom-to-be, Greg, was super nervous about having his picture taken, but we soon set him at ease with our posing prompts and guidance on what to do with his hands. In no time, we had him more focused on his beautiful bride-to-be than the pictures we were taking.

One of our most cherished printed items from Engagement Photo sessions is the Engagement Guest Book. As Michael likes to call it, “the two birds, on stone” book. Beth and Greg chose their favorite images and shared them at their wedding offering guests the opportunity to leave them a special note.
