The Bride Getting Ready
One of the most beautiful moments of a wedding day is when the bride gets ready for her big moment. The anticipation, the excitement, and the joy are all palpable in the air. That’s why I love capturing these moments with my camera, especially when the venue is as stunning as the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel. This historic hotel in downtown Grand Rapids was a great space for this moment, the spacious suite for the bride and her bridal parties to prepare for the ceremony. The natural light, the classic decor, the gorgeous views create a perfect backdrop for some amazing photos. The Groom Getting Ready
The groom and his groomsmen getting ready is always such a big contrast to the ladies! They are always so much more relaxed and chill, just a bunch of guys hanging out. Laz and his guys got ready at a friend’s house, making it the ultimate comfortable location to get ready.
Bilingual Catholic Wedding Ceremony - Holy Name of Jesus - Wyoming, MI
It was a beautiful bilingual Spanish/English ceremony full of love, joy, and faith at the Holy Name of Jesus Parish in Wyoming, MI. The bride and groom exchanged their vows in front of the altar, surrounded by their families and friends. We captured some of the most memorable moments of the mass, such as the entrance of the bride, the blessing of the rings, the first kiss, and the sign of peace.
The Reception - Studio D2D - Grand Rapids, MI
The day ended with a beautiful wedding reception at Studio D2D in Grand Rapids, MI. The couple and their guests had a blast celebrating their love with some fun traditions. They did the garter toss, the bouquet toss, the cake cutting, and some heartfelt toasts. They also shared their first dances as husband and wife, the groom with his mom, and the bride with her son. One of the highlights of the night was the La Vibora de La Mar, a Mexican game where the guests form a human snake and try to knock down the bride and groom from their chairs. They succeeded with the groom – check out the air he got when they did! It was hilarious and everyone enjoyed it. Here are some of our favorite shots from this amazing reception.
